Ho'opono by Pali Jae Lee author of Tales From the Night Rainbow

Many books have been written about Hawaiian spirituality. This book is the best. It is unique, powerful, and authentic. The author speaks from her heart, and from her decades of research with the Bishop Museum and with kupuna, elders, from Molokai. These precious teachings come from the old ones, who some call the menehune. These traditions touch the mind, heart, spirit, and body. You will laugh, and cry. This is an important book for those of us who seek to understand the wisdom of the past as a guide for the future.

Kamālamalama: the Light of Knowledge by Patrick Ka‘ano‘i

This book is fantastic! It comes from a Native Hawaiian, a true source, trained by his kupuna, and has much wisdom that to my knowledge is documented nowhere else. It covers the Kumulipo (the creation chant), kaona (the hidden meaning of words), mana (spiritual power), aloha, the stars, the drum, heiau (temples), ‘aumakua (family gods) and much much more. This is a book to be savored, read and re-read. With each reading, understanding deepens. Leave it, read other Hawaiian sources, come back to it and find even more. When I first began reading, tears came to my eyes as I realized what a precious gem I held in my hands.
